NIBCA’s government affairs program is focused on an agenda that is pro-business and pro-construction. NIBCA interacts with many levels of governmental and regulatory entities on members’ behalf. Our involvement includes:
- Monitoring and affecting the outcome of proposed legislation in the state legislatures with our members’ businesses in mind;
- Working for reasonable safety regulations;
- Keeping close relations with municipal and county officials concerning mutual interests;
- Working with public schools and our community college to provide opportunities for a well-trained workforce.
Fighting for You in Washington
AGC is committed to addressing the legislative priorities facing the commercial construction industry and growing the construction economy. AGC’s Legislative Action Committee sets the associations legislative priorities and serves as its regulatory clearinghouse while ensuring that AGC members have a voice in drafting AGC’s policy agenda.
